Sylvie & her pet-parentYes. Every product we test has already been established as safe for dogs and cats. We don't run 'safety studies'; our studies measure how well something works, not whether it's safe. And if a study isn't a fit for your pet's health history, we won't enroll them.
Most of our studies are free! You get the perks, wearables, clinical tests, insights into your pet's health, at no cost. A few studies ask for a refundable deposit, but that's always spelled out in the study details before you join. Every study is opt-in: don't want to join this time? No problem, we'll see you at the next one!
Both, depending on the study! Some are entirely at-home (we mail your kit and surveys, with reminders along the way); others include vet visits or routine checkups. Each study's details tell you exactly what's involved before you join.
Tell us about your pet when you join the waitlist - age, diet, weight, and things you're concerned about. We'll match them to studies that fit, and email you to confirm once your pet's selected for a specific study!
Your pet's data is anonymised before it ever reaches a client, unless a study specifically says otherwise (for example, a study that includes personalized feedback for you). Otherwise nothing is shared externally. We keep it on file so we can reach out about future studies your pet might qualify for.
Yes, anytime. You can withdraw your pet from a study whenever you need to - just keep us posted! Our priority is your pet's health, and your comfort in a study. We can't do good science without you!
It depends on the study, most run a few weeks to a couple of months. Exact duration is always in the study details before you join.
